I bought a cheap and cheerful bluetooth dongle v2.1 to use with Torque or Forescan on my phone but it just won't connect. Mustn't be compatible. Any recommendations for dongles that anyone has used, or would I be better with one of the usb cable types to use with a laptop? My Mondeo is 2009 2l Tdci.

Hi there, Wife just purchased a 2007 (prev model) Tittanium X Mondeo (2.2). Has the Sony single CD head unit, which is great. We had assumed that the aux socket (which we had seen in other cars we test drove) was standard fit on the Tittanium X. Alas it is not, all there is on ours is a rubber grommit.

A vote of thanks for Megger. We just had our Mondeo Mk3 2000 petrol converted to dual fuel. 25 mile before the first tank of gas ran out the engine ECU light came on. My ELM327 (bought for a previous car) kept saying no connection. Checked the PCB inside it and performed Megger's mod - hey presto - instant connect.
Whether charging or using jump leads, you should first connect to the positive terminal on the battery, and then to the negative on the bodywork somwehere away from the top of the battery. When you disconnect, do it in the reverse order, so that any sparks are always well away from the battery. J.
