The Dornier Do 17 was designed as a lightweight, fast bomber that could, in theory, outrun any attempts by fighters to shoot them down. The long thin fuselage of the aircraft led to its nickname of ‘flying pencil’, and its shoulder mounted wing carried two engines, whilst its tail design was of twin fin/rudder arrangement, typical of that on the Bf 110.
The most interesting kit by far that I ownis one of the VERY RARE Kori-Kit (Germany) 1/72 vaccuum molded Dornier 328. Vaccuum molded is far more difficult as you have to cut the entire model out of a sheet of plastic (for those not common with vacu-formed models). The model is very basic, with not a lot of lines, due to the type of molding.
